Membership in National Scientific Projects:


1- Development of Improved Horticultural Extension Programs for Small Farmers (1990 - 1993).
2- Recent Advances in Propagation Technology for Citrus Nurseries (2002 - 2004), (responsibility for keeping selected citrus seedlings
and shrubs free from insect infestation).
3- Nile Valley Program for Wild Oats Project. ( Responsibility of using a monophagous beneficial fly, Phytomyza orobanchia for the biological control of the broomrape weeds, Orobanche spp. (1996 - 2002).
4- National Project for the Biological Control of Water Hyacinth, Eichhornia craccipes in Egypt (1999 -2014) .

Membership in National Scientific Societies:


1- The Entomological Society of Egypt (since 1970).
2 - Member and Founder, in the Egyptian Society of Biological Pests’ Control (since 1989).
3- Member of the Managing Council of the preceding Society.
4- The Egyptian National Society of Environmental Protection.

Publications: 69 published research papers, of which 16 are in the field of biological control of weeds; 43 in the biological control of insect pests.
